  • cups all-purpose flour
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • cups whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted, plus more for garnish
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • Cooking spray
  • Maple syrup optional


  • Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar into a large bowl. Whisk to combine.
  • Pour in the milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter; whisk until well combined.
  • Spray a skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Scoop about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake into the skillet.
  • Cook on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Serve with a pat of butter, a drizzle of syrup, or any other garnishes you'd like.
