  • cup lentils cooked
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 4 tablespoons tahini
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped

For Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • sesame or chia seeds
  • sweet paprika


  • Drain and rinse the cooked lentils if using canned ones.
  • Put all the ingredients in the blender or food processor and blend until well combined.
  • Place the mixture into the desired serving bowl and garnish with extra virgin olive oil, seeds, and paprika if desired.
  • This hummus can be served cold or hot, refrigerate for a cold dish or place in the microwave for half a minute for a warm dish.
