1 Air Fryer Lid plus cooking pot
Ingredients
For the Chicken
- 1½ pounds chicken wings
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 pinch salt or to taste
- Cooking spray
For the Glaze
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon yuzu jam or lemon jam
- 1½ teaspoons sugar
- 1½ teaspoons water
- 1 clove garlic thinly sliced
- ½ teaspoon fresh ginger thinly sliced
Toppings
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the chicken with baking powder, and then season with salt.
- Preheat the air fryer lid at 375°F for 1-2 minutes before placing the frying basket into the cooking pot.
- Spray the frying basket with cooking spray and arrange wings in a single layer in the frying basket, working in batches if needed. Lower the basket into the preheated cooking pot.
- Close the lid and cook at 375°F for 25-30 minutes or until the temperature near the bone reads at least 165°F.
- While the chicken is cooking, whisk the soy sauce, yuzu jam, sugar, water, garlic, and ginger together in a small saucepan or skillet over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until the glaze is reduced by half, about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Transfer wings to a bowl, pour the glaze over the wings, and toss. Garnish wings with sesame seeds.
