Garlic Mushrooms Tapa
This recipe uses the most common way to prepare mushrooms and adapts to any type of mushrooms, grown or wild. The mushrooms are sautéed in olive oil with garlic, parsley, and a splash of lemon juice.
Wash the mushrooms. If using wild mushrooms, clean with a paper towel or a damp cloth, do not submerge in water. Cut larger mushrooms in half.
Heat the oil in the pan over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes, constantly stirring, then add the garlic, salt and pepper.
Cook for 2 more minutes, then add the lemon juice and finally the parsley and serve.
Cooking tips: Using this as a base to cook mushrooms is the easiest. Varieties: You can also add cumin powder for a very pleasing taste and aroma. Other options are oregano and curry.
