  • 1/4 pound fresh baby octopus
  • virgin olive oil as needed
  • sweet paprika as needed
  • hot paprika as needed
  • coarsely ground sea salt as needed


  • Wash the octopus thoroughly. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in the pressure cooker.
  • When the water is boiling, add the octopus to the pot. Cover, lock the lid in place, and bring to HIGH pressure. Cook for 10 minutes.
  • Release the pressure, drain the pot and place the octopus on a cutting board. Cut into bite size pieces.
  • Place the octopus in a bowl. Season to taste with sea salt, sweet and hot paprika, and sprinkle liberally with olive oil.
  • Serve immediately.
