  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cups grits
  • 1 cup cheese your choice, grated
  • Salt
  • Pepper


  • In the pressure cooker, bring the milk and water to a boil. Stir in the grits.
  • Lock the lid in place, bring to HIGH pressure, and cook for 7 minutes. Release the pressure. Stir in the grated cheese.
  • Add salt and pepper if desired. Certain cheeses will need more seasoning than others. Serve immediately.
