- 3 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 cups grits
- 1 cup cheese your choice, grated
- In the pressure cooker, bring the milk and water to a boil. Stir in the grits.
- Lock the lid in place, bring to HIGH pressure, and cook for 7 minutes. Release the pressure. Stir in the grated cheese.
- Add salt and pepper if desired. Certain cheeses will need more seasoning than others. Serve immediately.
